Tennis Anyone

Students from Kindergarten to Fifth grade have been involved in various tennis drills and practices.
The objective is to show and demonstrate additional skills
that require eye and hand coordination, mental concentration,
ball manipulation and individual determination to achieve
specific goals.

Specific Goals:
Kindergarten to Second
The students will be able to:
1. Bounce and catch tennis balls
2. Dribble tennis balls
3. Alternate hand dribbling, transitioning from
right hand to left hand.
4. Dribble twice then shoot into basket.
5. Dribble and bounce on tennis racket strings.
6. Interpret the parts of the tennis racket.
This seems like alot of information, but working with
students, transitioning from one skill to another there
is dialogue about each skill.

Third to Fifth
Basically the same procedure, but with more emphasis on
racket and ball manipulation.
Tennis being more of an individual sport allows students
to learn about their own potential to play non-traditional
sports.
